Gorilla permits to track can be easily purchased through your travel agents or local Ugandan tour operators from the Uganda Wildlife Authority

Uganda is Located in the Eastern region of Africa

The Gorilla trekking permit now costs $700 for foreign nonresidents, $600 for foreign residents of East African countries (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania) and 250,000 UGX for East African citizens throught the year.

Visas can be only acquired online before arrival to Uganda at Entebbe International Airport. Your passport will need to have at least one blank page and must be valid for six months upon arrival.

Permits. Cost US $1500 per person per day. The minimum age limit to track gorillas is 15 years old. Special offers are currently available for Rwandan and East African Community residents.
Mountain gorillas only live in the dense vegetation of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and along the dormant volcanic Virunga mountain range that stretches across Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo
