Itinerary

Day 1Arrival and transfer to the hotel for the overnight.

Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by a Unterwegs Safaris representative, and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe.

Day 2Transfer to Kibale NP

After your early morning breakfast you will be transfered to Kibale forest National park
ibale Forest for two nights a 795 sq km of rainforest in Western Uganda. Kibale is home to an extraordinary thirteen species of primates, including chimpanzees, red colobus, and L’Hoest monkeys. Kibale National Forest has also recorded over 355 bird species, and a range of other mammals including the elusive forest elephant.

Day 3Chimp tracking and habituation in Kibale forest - swamp walk

Activities for the day: Morning chimp tracking or full day habituation and afternoon Bigodi swamp walk.

This morning you will go for Chimpanzee tracking along the network of forest trails. Seeing habituated chimps squabbling and swinging from the trees is an exhilarating experience.
Later in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is rich in bird species, vegetation, and wildlife. This is also a great opportunity to support local tourism initiatives which benefit social and economic development in the area.

Overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Day 4Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast and then get transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park for two nights. It is a park which boasts one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world. Uganda’s second largest National Park, the 1,978 sq km has everything from open savannah to rain forest. Queen Elizabeth has over 100 mammal species, and an astounding 606 bird species, making it a premier safari destination.
In the afternoon take a cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to one of the largest concentrations of hippopotamus, as well as herds of elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife that come to drink from the river. The Kazinga also attracts a tremendous variety of bird species including the African Eagle, Open-Billed Stork, and Pied Kingfishers.

Day 5Game Drive - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Activities of the day: after your breakfast Morning game drive in Mweya sector, Lunch and drive to Ishasha sector.
In morning, you will have a game drive to the Kasenyi area to look for lion prides and other wildlife like the Uganda Kob, hyenas, antelopes, elephants to mention a few.

Day 6Transfer to Ishasha Sector

After breakfast drive to Ishasha sector for an unforgettable game drive in search for tree climbing lions.

Day 7Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early for your breakfast and then embark on your journey to Lake Bunyonyi popular for its green and lush terraced hills that are punctuated with a plethora of over 200 bird species. The place combines the art of water birds and some migratory birds. This makes it a perfect ideal for many bird enthusiasts. A dive into the Nyombi swamp reveals a variety of assorted birds.

Day 8Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP

You will then be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park where you will get to experience the thrilling gorilla tracking activities under guidance of rangers

Day 9 Gorilla Tracking - Batwa Experience

After the early morning breakfast you will set off for Gorilla trekking. This will take 2-6 hours; this is one of the most exciting experience one can have as you watch the movements and the social life of these giants in the jungle. Rangers will be available to answer all your questions in regard to these primates. Then later on taken for a community visit to the Batwa where you will engage with them and there after you will come back at your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 10Transfer to Rwanda - Kigali

After your gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi you will then be transferred to Kigali in Rwanda where you will engage in city tours and more

Day 11City Tours, Genocide museums

After your morning breakfast
your guide will take you around for a city tour of Kigali and also have an opportunity of visiting the Genocide memorial site in Kigali

Day 12Fly out

After all your numerous activities you will then be transferred to Kigali International Airport where you will take your flight back home
